I am grateful for my Grandma W. for teaching me my love for gardening. She had amazing beautiful gardens. This is her birdbath that I have in my garden........a cherished treasure always!

52 weeks of gratitude..........week 3

This week I am grateful for relaxation. we just home from a long 4 day weekend of relaxation, shopping, site seeing and visiting old friends.

52 weeks of gratitude..........week 1 & 2

on flickr........I am in a group called 52 weeks of gratitude........I thought it would be fun to post them here too. I didn't start last week so I'll post week 1 & 2............here goes.......

WEEK 1

this is my first photo for the 52 weeks of gratitude series. I am very grateful for my family. Here are my boys at the beach in Florida on a vacation we took. They have both turned into such fine young men.......my husband and I are so proud of both of them. The oldest is in med school studying to be a Dr. and the youngest is in the seminary studying to be a Youth Pastor. One is going to save lives, the other is going to save souls.

WEEK 2

I am grateful for my creativity. I have always loved to create things ~ even as a little girl I learned to crochet from my older neighbor lady. I love to make homemade gifts and cards. I get my best creative ideas in the middle of the night and if I don't have a pad and pencil by the bed I will get up and write them down. Creating and being creative is very relaxing and uplifting to me.

I found these antique photo paints at an antique shop. They were never opened......I may have to be the first to try them out.

I took the header pic the other day.......I couldn't believe he was still here! He was eating the crab apples and chasing a younger blue jay out of the tree.........alot of energy for it being 10 below zero!!!! I am enjoying photographing him tho...........here he is through our fence gate....

and Happy New Year! 2009 has been a great year! Hope it has been great for you too. I haven't decided yet on all my resolutions for 2010. I will try to visit everyones blog more......I have been a little slack lately. I had fun doing this photo last night......I forgot I had these old suitcases and decided to have fun with my New Years photo ~ and of course.....had to add textures and actions to make it "vintage". Thanks for all your kind comments and hope 2010 is a wonderful year for everyone!
