This weeks color for Shades of Inspiration is
Turquoise.
All the pictures were taken on our New York trip.
This is a fun crown hanging across the street ready for a celebration ~~ love the turquoise sky.
Who is this reserved for??? Looks like quite a few have come and gone! LOL! ~~ the background looks turquoise to me.
Beautiful building!

A fun store window displaying the Gifts from the Sea.

Love how they displayed this....how cool.....they used coffee filters, cupcake and candy liners.

I was out in my garden this morning taking pics of my phlox. I am also trying some new borders on a photo program. OH, I just LOVE how this one turned out.....the focused in the back and blurry in the front.

Another close up of my white phlox....

I love the close up of the curled petals....so pretty and feminine.

I love this pretty shade of purple.

We went to Oronoco Flea Market today. This used to be the biggest best flea market around. OH my GOSH! I couldn't believe it! About 1/3 - 1/2 of the dealers didn't set up. Whole sections of streets, whole areas.....were empty..no dealers.....they now used it for parking. They had it on the news and they said the price of gas and the cost to set up deterred a lot of people. ALSO.......they have people on carts hauling stuff for people.....they were driving around with carts empty, almost all day. It seemed that buying was really down too. I was really surprised. I did however get some great deals for scrapbooking. Aren't these great!!! They are so cool....I think I am going to use them in our Florida vacation scrapbook.
These are fun. I thought they were great.

I've always wanted one of these rose books but they were too much....I got it for $10.00! and the other stuff was $1.00 for all the checks and a 1.00 each for the other things except the awesome thick music books dated 1895.....they were 50 cents each.

And I have been wanting some flash cards and these fun lotto game....$6.00 for all and the 50 cent books underneath!

I just love sweet peas and had to share some pics with you. I have been practicing with the macro setting on my camera with no flash and the background is not altered in anyway. I just practice and take a ton of shots and this is how they came out.....I just upload them to Kodak easy share and don't use photoshop or anything to alter them. I know.....i couldn't believe it either that the background could get so blurred and cool looking. LOL!! I love how they are peeking through this chippy crusty old bench I got at an auction for 50 cents a few years ago...also....some great great close ups of some of my sweet peas....I just love how the neck curls over.

Also, I can't believe it is that time of the year again..........seed gathering time. Heres some of my hollyhock seeds that are ready to be saved. Theres alot more to get once they get dry enough. And The black/maroon ones haven't dried enough yet. I will save those seperately.

They look maroon in the pics but look black in my garden. What a fun treat. Here are some close up pics that I wanted to share with you.

These perfume bottles are in our spare bedroom and of course the Eiffel Tower statue.
I love this cloche with some ribbon, hydrangea, vintage ledger paper and a rhinestone necklace. This is also in our spare bedroom.
