robin red breast.........

I took the header pic the other day.......I couldn't believe he was still here! He was eating the crab apples and chasing a younger blue jay out of the tree.........alot of energy for it being 10 below zero!!!! I am enjoying photographing him tho...........here he is through our fence gate....

THAT is one confused Robin...I never saw a robin photographed in the snow before.
He needs to rethink his game plan... and get out of town...I was going to say... and head SOUTH..but we are experiencing some REALLY COLD weather here in the SOUTH too right now.
..." What will poor Robin do then...poor thing " ?

I love those pictures. We left a birthday party this afternoon and trudging through the snowy, slushy parking lot, I saw 6 or 7 bluebirds fluttering around. That may be the state bird of Missouri, but I just don't see them often, and not in groups. I thought of them being bluebirds of happiness and got an extra spring in my step! How many more weeks of winter?

I realized who your robin reminded me of. The Robin in 'The Secret Garden'..cheeky little bugger...tho English Robins are different then our American version, your looks very vintagy~
